Avenged Sevenfold vocalist M. Shadows continues to make strange explanations after their disappointing latest album “The Stage”. This time I was really surprised.

He spoke in an interview by Metal Hammer and said there are a lot of similarities with Kanye West. He said:

I think there are a lot of similarities [between us and Kanye West]. I know that people will see that and it’ll be some kind of quote so someone can get some clicks off it, but the way we do merchandise, the way that we’re going to be doing our live show, the way we’re gonna release our records, the way that we’re going get music to people, is very much in that vein. We’re not going back to the old ways.

Avenged Sevenfold’s “The Stage” sold 72,000 copies in the US for the first week. The band’s previous album, 2013’s “Hail To The King”, sold 159,000 copiesin the US its first week of release. It’s almost double of “The Stage”.
