Mötley Crüe recently posted a tweet on their official Twitter account which was followed up by the band’s co-founder and bass guitarist, Nikki Sixx‘s tweet, both of which celebrated the astonishing performance of a young artist who showed off her singing skills with ‘Live Wire.’
As you know, Nikki Sixx highly enjoys using his social media accounts. He specifically prefers to use his Twitter account as a platform where he can express his views on social and political matters, share his views on music, post sneak peeks from his life, and of course, interact with his fans.
Similarly, Mötley Crüe also has an active social media presence and the band members often use their official Twitter account to announce anything related to the iconic band and its members. As you probably know, Mötley Crüe was founded back in 1981 and they reached worldwide fame soon after that with their first album ‘Too Fast for Love.’
Both Nikki Sixx and the band recently posted a similar tweet and applauded a young up-and-coming musician who auditioned for ‘American Idol’ by singing ‘Live Wire.’ This song is probably one of Mötley Crüe’s most special songs as ‘Live Wire’ was the band’s debut single which was released on their debut album ‘Too Fast for Love’ in 1981.
The 15-year-old contestant Casey Bishop gave out an amazing performance and it was a capella. At the end of her performance, she was applauded by all of the judges who were not expecting to see such a great talent. Casey Bishop was also congratulated by Nikki Sixx and Mötley Crüe who advised their fans to check out her rendition of ‘Live Wire.’
Here’s what Nikki Sixx said in his tweet:
“15-year-old girl slayMotley s ‘Live Wire’ A Cappella… Check it out.”
This is what Mötley Crüe said in ther tweet:
“Congratulations to Casey Bishop who blew away the judges with an awesome rendition of ‘Live Wire’ at American Idol.”
