The legendary band AC/DC launched new merchandise to celebrate the 40th anniversary of ‘Back In Black‘ while the fans were hoping for a new album.

The Australian rock band AC/DC released their seventh studio album ‘Back In Black‘ on July 25, 1980. ‘Back In Black’ was the first album of the band without their lead singer Bon Scott.

As you might remember, the former frontman of AC/DC, Bon Scott passed away at the age of 33 on February 19, 1980, only a few months earlier than the release of ‘Back In Black.’ After a night of heavy drinking, Scott passed out and choked on his own vomit. The vocalist of Geordie, Brian Johnson, replaced Scott for the recording of the album.

Although the construction period of the album wasn’t smooth as planned, ‘Back In Black’ gain a huge success in the following years. It was listed as the fourth biggest-selling album of all time by the Recording Industry Association of America. The song named ‘You Shook Me All Night Long‘ in the album achieved to be #35 on the ‘Billboard Hot 100.’

Recently, AC/DC announced the launch of the new merchandise to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their ‘Back In Black’ album. Even though the fans were hoping for a new album from the band, they were happy to receive special edition products of ‘Back In Black.’

The new t-shirts introduced by the band were made by using different shades of black. On the front part, it stated ‘AC/DC Back In Black 1980 – 40 – 2020,’ while on the back of the t-shirt the playlist of the album was written.
