Co-founder and the lead guitarist of AC/DC, Angus Young, mourned the death of legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen by sharing a new post on his official Instagram account.

Even though Eddie Van Halen overcome the tongue cancer back in the day, he was diagnosed with throat cancer, and he has been undergoing treatment for five years. Recently, Eddie’s son and bass guitarist Wolfgang Van Halen announced that Eddie passed away after losing his fight against this ruthless disease.

While every other musician said goodbye to Eddie, Angus Young wanted to write a letter in the honor of the legendary guitarist. In this way, Angus shared his feelings about losing such a guitarist and paid his tribute to Eddie.

In the letter, Angus mentioned how a great guitarist he was by saying that he was a great gift for the music industry. He said that Eddie left a big hole in lots of people’s hearts to explain what the world lost after his death and shared his condolences with the Van Halen family.

Here is what Angus Young wrote:

“Eddie was a guitar wonder, his playing pure wizardry. To the world of music, he was a special gift. To those of us fortunate enough to have met him, a very special person.

He leaves a big hole in a lot of hearts. To the Van Halen family my heartfelt sympathies.”
