Ace Frehley, who is a former member of KISS, shared his condolences about the death of his friend and Mountain frontman, Leslie West, via his official Instagram account.

As you might recall, after having a serious heart attack on December 20, Leslie West was taken to the hospital immediately. Unfortunately, Leslie passed away two days later at the age of 75 and saddened the community.

In his recent Instagram post, while Ace Frehley was mentioning what a great musician Leslie was, he also said that he was waiting for a call from Leslie for using his song on his new album, ‘Origins Vol. 2.‘ However, he is so sad that he won’t be getting any calls from him anymore.

Furthermore, Frehley shared his condolences to West’s family and said that he is devastated for losing such an important person. Ace also stated that Leslie will be missed in the rock music community and prayed for his soul.

Here is how Ace Frehley bid farewell to his dear friend:

“I lost a dear friend yesterday, he was Leslie West the lead guitarist from Mountain… Probably best known for their hit Mississippi Queen…

He was an amazing guitarist, and I was awaiting a call from him, since I did a remake of one of his songs on Origins Vol. 2… But now I’ll never get a chance to hear what he thought of the cover…

It’s so sad, we’ve lost so many great guitar 🎸players this year… My prayers are with his family & friends during this holiday season! He was one of the great guitarists and a good friend over the years! He will be missed in the Rock & Roll Community! I’m sure he’s up in R&R Heaven w/all the other musicians we’ve lost! R.I.P Mr. West!”
