During a recent conversation on NME, the founder and frontman of the self-named band, Alice Cooper, talked about the latest allegations made against Marilyn Manson while putting his close friend Johnny Depp on the table.

As you may recall, approximately a month ago, Marilyn Manson had made it to our headlines considering the physical and sexual abuse allegations made against him by numerous women, including the talented actress Evan Rachel Wood who revealed that Marilyn Manson was an abusive partner who started grooming her when she was still a teenager.

Upon Wood’s declaration, other women found the courage to speak up too and stated that they too have been sexually abused by the metal-star. When asked to share his views on this subject, Alice Cooper talked about the allegations made against Johnny Depp years ago. As you may recall, back in 2016, the famous actress Amber Heard had accused her ex-husband Johnny Depp of ‘excessive emotional, verbal, and physical abuse.’

In his recent interview, Alice Cooper discussed these allegations and started with Manson’s. Cooper said that he knows Manson quite well as they have toured and performed together and that he never noticed that ‘streak in him, if it’s there.’ Then he went on to talk about one of his closest friends Johnny Depp who was also accused of domestic abuse but Cooper said he is sure that they are not true.

Thus, Cooper said that although he can’t vouch for Marilyn Manson, he believes that ‘allegations are still allegations.’ He continued by saying that he strongly believes that the allegations against Johnny Depp are false, while stating that he can’t say the same thing about Mason as they aren’t that close and that ‘what happens in the bedroom is entirely a mystery’ to him.

Here’s what Alice Cooper said in his recent interview:

“It’s funny about Marilyn – I know Marilyn, we toured together, we got along very well, and I never noticed that streak in him, if it’s there. I always believe that allegations are still allegations, and first of all, here’s a prime example – Johnny Depp.

Johnny Depp and I are best friends, I have never seen him lift a finger against anybody. He is one of the most gentle people, and all of his former girlfriends and wives say the same thing, so it’s really hard to believe that all of a sudden he’s going to turn into this monster. I know the guy, I’m with the guy on tour all the time. He’s one of the most gentle, harmless people I’ve ever met.

Now, I don’t know Marilyn, though, as I know Johnny, so what happens in the bedroom is entirely a mystery to me for what’s going on with Marilyn.”
