The lead singer of the bands, Huntress, The Starbreakers, and Chelsea Girls, Jill Janus had been struggling with various mental diseases up until her death., including bipolar disorder. At the age of 20, Janus was diagnosed with manic depression and schizoaffective disorder.
Two years ago, on August 14, 2018, Jill Janus passed away at the age of 42. The cause of her death later revealed as suicide. Her family and friends have been devastated after the death of the talented and precious musician.
Recently on Instagram, Nita Strauss posted a photo of herself with Jill Janus taken during a performance on stage. Strauss remembered her dear friend on the anniversary of her death by sharing a lovely note with her photo. On the caption of her post, Nita mentioned how much she missed her beloved friend and what a great source of inspiration Janus was to her and many other people.
