Alice Cooper shared some important details about his relationship with his bandmates from Hollywood Vampires, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry, along with both the band’s and his own upcoming projects. in his latest conversation with Eddie Trunk.
Hollywood Vampires was named after a very famous celebrity drinking club named The Hollywood Vampires which was founded by Alice Cooper in the ’70s and included Keith Moon, Ringo Starr, Micky Dolenz, John Lennon, and Harry Nilsson. So it has a very special meaning for Cooper.
The supergroup was formed by Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, and Joe Perry in 2012 and they started covering some iconic songs but then they decided to work on their own materials. Hollywood Vampires released two studio albums and previously Cooper stated that they were writing new music but they couldn’t get a chance to come together for a studio session due to their busy schedules.
During his recent interview, Cooper shared some exciting news about Hollywood Vampires saying that they are planning a tour at the end of the summer. Alice also stated that it will be a great adventure considering his close friendship with Joe Perry and Johnny Depp which is also the reason they don’t have any problems within the band for years. The musician added that he has been working on two albums, one of which is written totally.
Here’s what Eddie Trunk asked:
“You mentioned Hollywood Vampires. What’s on the horizon beyond the tour dates?“
In Cooper’s words, he said:
“From what I understand, they’re booking Hollywood Vampires dates at the end of the summer which is great and I can’t wait to do that. That’s really a lot of fun to do. Those guys are in the band, they’re all best friends. So there are never any problems.
At the same time, I’m working on two albums right now actually, two studio albums. All I can say is one is written totally and we’ll be doing bed tracks for that one pretty soon. Then the other one is just a touch in the future but that’s being written right now too.”
