Rock legend Alice Cooper spoke in a recent interview with Kyle Meredith, and he revealed the best rock city in the United States.
As we all know, the 70-year-old legendary musician is originally from Detroit. He shows his respect for his hometown of Detroit by responding to a question about which is the greatest rock city.
Here is what Alice Cooper said:
“You know, I think if you really want to take it back, it goes back to the fact that most of these kids’ parents worked in the auto business. They all worked kind of, like, in the factories and everybody was sort of middle class or lower middle class and kind of had the same upbringing.
They don’t want to hear soft rock, they want to hear something that gets them going. They want to hear the horsepower. It’s like having a muscle car, that’s the kind of mentality it is.
If you’re a hard-rock band with attitude and energy like MC5 or Iggy or Alice, then you’re home free there. And it’s always been like that, and it’s always been the hard rock capital of the United States.“
