One of the legendary vocalists of all time, Alice Cooper, took to his official Instagram account to share a new post and mourned the death of his friend and famous magician, James Randi, who died at the age of 92.

Alice uploaded a rare picture of themselves from backstage in which they were standing next to each other. They were both looking so cool while posing for the camera, and it is clear to say that they enjoyed their accompany.

In the caption, Alice praised the talent of Randi by saying that he is so proud to say Randi was one of the greatest magicians in the world and revealed that he also joined Alice Cooper’s tour in the past.

While mourning his death, Alice also pointed out that he learned lots of things from Randi about how magic could meet with rock and roll. Furthermore, Alice paid his tribute to Randi by saying that he was the Gandalf of rock music.

Here is what Alice Cooper said:

“I am so proud to say that for a brief time the greatest of them all, The Amazing Randi, was a part of our traveling troupe. He was our illusion guru and taught me everything I know about how magic could meet rock and roll.

His genius helped the Billion Dollar Babies show become the spectacle no one had ever seen. He was rock and roll’s Gandalf.”
