Musician and filmmaker Alice Cooper took his official Twitter account to share a new post and revealed the unknown story of his Don’t Give Up song.

As you might already know, Alice Cooper wanted to show his support for the people who are dealing with the coronavirus outbreak and released a single last year, named Don’t Give Up.

In February 2021, Alice released his 21st solo studio album ‘Detroit Stories’ and he featured the original version of the Don’t Give Up song as the 13th song, named Hanging On by a Thread (Don’t Give Up).

According to Alice, this song was originally about suicide. However, he rewrote the second verse of this song after the pandemic happened and wanted to encourage people with this song.

Here is what Alice Cooper wrote:

“Hanging on by a thread was the original song and it was about suicide. When he pandemic happened, I rewrote the second verse to be about Covid 19 and one year ago today we released Don’t Give Up.”
