Alice Cooper’s touring guitarist, Nita Strauss, recently posted a photo of herself on her Instagram account and reminded her fans of her first Masterclass in which she taught the attendees some professional guitar techniques that rockstars use.

There’s no doubt that Nita Strauss is one of the most well-known and talented guitarists of the 21st century and in 2011 she ranked Number 1 on Guitar World’s list of ‘10 Female Guitar Players You Should Know.’ Her fame increased even more after she started touring with Alice Cooper in 2014 and she came to be known as the first female signature artist of Ibanez Guitar and her dream guitar is now sold in three different versions.

Last year, on February 9, 2020, Nita Strauss gave her first Masterclass in Mega Music Perth in Australia in which she taught her students the tricks of the trade. In the class, she demonstrated some professional guitar techniques and riffs. Following that, she did a meet and greet with her fans and gave out autographs.

In her recent Instagram post, she recalled that amazing day and said that it was an ‘incredibly special night’ for her. She said that she felt very welcome and stated that she cannot wait to do something like that again. She also confessed that in all of her photos from that night, she looks at the wrong camera as there were two pro photographers, she somehow managed to assume that ‘the wrong one was the official one.’

Here’s what Nita Strauss said in the caption of her recent Instagram post:

My first ever Australian master class was a year ago today (yesterday? The date change always messes with me haha!) in Perth.

Such an incredibly special night. I was so warmed by the camaraderie of the metal scene in this relatively small, beachy, laid back city. I felt like everyone kind of knew everyone, and I was immediately welcomed into this crew of friends. Such an amazing time.

Many thanks to Ibanez Australia and Roland and BOSS Australia for making those clinics happen! Let’s do it again sometimes? You guys will not get me with that drop bear trick again I can tell you that much.

Also, this was the fateful day that I looked at the wrong camera for 200 pictures of meet and greet. There were two pro photographers there and I apparently thought the wrong one was the official one. Proof in my story 🤦🏼‍♀️
