American musician who is the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of Alter Bridge, Myles Kennedy, was the latest interview guest of Audio Ink Radio’s Anne Erickson last week and talked about his music career as well as whether it’s easy to work like Guns N’ Roses star Slash.
As you may already remember, Alter Bridge released their sixth album named ‘Walk The Sky’ back in 2019 via Napalm Records and it features fourteen never-released-before tracks including 7 additional songs for the ‘2.0 Deluxe Edition’ which was released the same year.
While Slash and Kennedy are working on their new album for ‘Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators’ which will be released this year, he talked about how it feels to work with Slash and if Slash is an Intimidating person to work with. According to Myles, Slash is a very cool guy and he makes him feel like a mellow cat who loves to play music more than anything in the world
Here is what he said:
“He’s really cool. I mean, he’s very easy to work with. There’s no intimidating whatsoever, actually, as far as writing with him, because of the fact that he’s not precious with his ideas. That’s one of the downfalls with a lot of creative people, is you tend to get kind of protective and territorial, and you let your ego come into the fold. And with him, what I learned early on in the process was that he was open to whatever.
So, having that ability and knowing that he’s gonna do what’s best for the song is very liberating. He’s a very cool guy. He’s just a really mellow cat who loves to play music more than anything in the world. So, it’s fun.”
