The legendary guitarist of Anthrax, Scott Ian posted a video from the neighborhood he grew up and opened about his childhood memories in Bayside Queens.

As you may know, iconic musician Scott Ian founded Anthrax with the bassist Dan Killer back in 1981. Ian’s band has been considered as one of the leaders of thrash metal music, particularly with various achievements they conducted over the course of many years.

Recently, Scott Ian took his Instagram account to display the neighborhood in Bayside Queens where he spent all his childhood. On the caption of his post, Scott mentioned he wanted to distract his fans and followers from all the political issues happening at the moment in the United States.

As you will see in the video below, Ian was showing the stickball court he was playing with his friends back in high school. Scott also shared some of his photos taken around the area to show almost nothing changed since he was there 40 years ago.

Here’s what Scott Ian stated on the caption of his post:

“Need a break from politricks? Step into the way back machine with me as I explore my old hood, Bayside Queens – PS 169 stickball court, Bayside High School, I.S.25 Junior High, and the Bayside LIRR station.

All places I spent a lot of my youth at. Part 2 in the next post.”
