Avenged Sevenfold drummer Brooks Wackerman announced with a post on his official Instagram account that their upcoming album is ‘90% done,’ and they can’t wait for the listeners to finally hear it.

Avenged Sevenfold is known for their distinctive sound as each of their albums reflect a different side of the band. Their genre has also significantly changed from a metalcore sound to heavy metal and hard rock over the years. The band released their latest and seventh studio album, ‘The Stage,’ on October 28, 2016, so it has been a long time since they released any new music.

The band had already started working on their next record back in 2018. They had some delays due to the pandemic during the making process of the album, just like many other bands, but their long-awaited new music is finally on the way. The band members had revealed before that they had been using a large orchestra for the album recordings, which made things difficult considering the pandemic conditions.

Recently, Avenged Sevenfold drummer Brooks Wackerman shared a post on Instagram and announced that their upcoming is finally ‘90% done’ after four years of hard work. Wackerman also shared a photo from the recordings, taken with the large orchestra they have been working on, and stated they have been playing with incredible musicians. He added that he can’t wait for it to be released as it has a different sound than everything they’ve done before.

Here is how Brooks Wackerman shared the latest news from the upcoming album:

“Well… this Happened on Tuesday. We-Avenged Sevenfold- started writing this record four years ago, and I can’t believe we are 90% done… One of the perks- in the creative process- is that we are able to track a 78 piece orchestra on our records. The fact that we are able to bring incredible musicians together to enhance our art still gives me chills. I can’t wait for the world to hear this… all I can say is it’s unlike anything we’ve ever released. Alright and good night!”
