The official and verified Instagram account of Avenged Sevenfold has shared a recent post and mourned one of the most talented composers/orchestrators of all time, Ennio Morricone, who passed away from the earth yesterday.

Ennio Morricone has managed to gain Academy Award with ‘The Hateful Eight’ score in 2016 and was one of the most-anticipated conductors of the 20th century. He also made the soundtracks of 70 award-winning movies, including A Fistful of Dollars, Cinema Paradiso, The Battle of Algiers, and Animal Trilogy.

Avenged Sevenfold did not pass the tragic death of Ennio and showed off their admiration to the legendary star who lost his battle with death after breaking his trochanter in his house. He was at Università Campus Bio-Medico in Rome, before leaving this world.

Here is the emotional farewell message of Avenged Sevenfold:

“One constant influence on our entire career would have to be that of Ennio Morricone. He truly did what no others could. He had the ability to define countless important movies by their soundtrack. He was unmatched in his ability.

Just this weekend we had his brilliant soundtrack for “Once Upon A Time in the West” playing on repeat. Look no further than “Sidewinder,” “Dose,” and “Roman Sky” to hear the most obvious influence he had on us. He will be missed. His art will be remembered and cherished. Rest in Peace.”
