The well-known new generation heavy metal band from Huntington Beach, Avenged Sevenfold, recently went live on their official Instagram account while recording in the recording studio which excited their fans who have been waiting for a new A7X album for almost five years.

As you know, Avenged Sevenfold is one of the most well-known metal bands of the 21st century and was formed back in 1999. A7X was founded by M. Shadows, Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan, and Matt Wendt (who remained in the band only for a year), who were childhood friends that enjoyed playing together while growing up. Zacky Vengeance and Synyster Gates were added to the band’s line-up later.

The band started climbing the ladder of fame in the early 2000s and they currently have a big fan base. Upon the passing of the band’s iconic drummer ‘The Rev,’ A7X hired multiple people including Mike Portnoy but the band’s drummer position is currently filled by Brooks Wackerman. Fans have been expecting a new album since December 2017, when M. Shadows announced that they would start working on their eighth studio album in 2018.

Even though they haven’t released an album since then, it is widely known that they’re still working on it. With their recent Instagram live stream, the band proved that they are indeed in the studio recording some new tracks. During the live stream, Wackerman was playing some new tunes, which excited A7X fans that took this as a sign that the eighth studio album is a work in progress.
