Avenged Sevenfold released a brand new cover of Misfits’ ‘Hybrid Moments’ and uploaded the song on the band’s official YouTube account.

‘Hybrid Moments’ is a song from Misfits that was recorded for their debut studio album ‘Static Age.’ However, the song was released in 1996 with the box set. Blink-182 and Green Day have also covered the track, and it seems like A7x also wanted to pay tribute to the punk icons.

Even though Matt Shadows and Synyster Gates are often considered the faces of Avenged Sevenfold, they didn’t appear during the ‘Hybrid Moments’ cover. Instead, Zacky Vengeance, Johnny Christ, and Brooks Wackerman did all the job.

Zacky took M. Shadows’s spot and showed off his singing talents as the lead vocalist. Fans were shocked and surprised at how talented he is and expressed their excitement in the comments section.

A7x also released a music video from their recording session. During the music video, all band members’ faces are covered with Misfits’ iconic makeup looks, which was highly appreciated by both their and Misfits’ fans.

Zacky Vengeance announced the release via A7X’s Twitter account:

“We wanted to have some fun with you to kick off the Halloween Season. Brooks wanted to do a Misfits song.

I wanted to paint my face like KISS & call ourselves the KISSFits. Johnny wanted to drink & walk around town dressed like a skeleton.”
