Avril Lavigne, the Canadian singer, songwriter, and actress, has shown up on Instagram Stories with a personal video message, in which she announced that the tour set for 2021 is postponed due to the ongoing pandemic while explaining that her priority is her fans’ health.
As you may know, the famous pop-rock musician, Avril Lavigne, was on her sixth concert tour, ‘Head Above Water Tour,’ before the global pandemic of COVID-19 broke out. Launched in support of her sixth studio album, the tour was planned to end mid-2020 with a total of 43 concerts.
However, the concerts in Asia and European legs were canceled after Lavigne could only perform 15 shows in North America. The remaining shows were rescheduled for early 2021. Unfortunately again, Avril has taken Instagram with the disappointing news that the tour faces another rescheduling.
In her latest message on Instagram Stories, Lavigne said her fans mean the world to her so she had to postpone the tour, which was planned for the early months of the new year.
While reminding the matter that everyone’s health and safety is number one, Avril asked her fans to hold onto their tickets as they will be valid for the new shows.
Here’s what Avril Lavigne said in her latest stories on Instagram:
“Hey guys! I wanted to deliver this message to you, all my fans, personally. I know that we all hope that may shows in 2021 could happen but sadly the ongoing pandemic means that it’s impossible to do the shows we had booked.
You guys mean the world to me and everyone’s health and safety is number one. So we have postponed 2021 tour and will make an announcement about the new shows in the new year. So please hold onto your tickets as they will be valid for the new shows.
