Behemoth’s Nergal recently spoke to Kerrang and talked about his career plans for the new year. Adam Darski stated that he can’t be optimistic about the future because nobody knows what we will face tomorrow.
Besides his long-term successful career with Behemoth, Nergal has also pursued a solo journey. He started a solo project named ‘Me and That Man’ in 2017, and following that, he released the debut album ‘Songs of Love and Death.’ The other two albums that feature many prominent musicians came after the debut album.
During his recent conversation, Nergal referred to his latest release with Me and That Man and said that he is delighted and proud of the positive reviews the album received. However, Nergal also admitted that he does not feel optimistic about the future. He stated that he would like to promote this album with a tour, but nobody knows what the future will bring. He also confessed that he feels really tired of the world’s present state.
Nergal explained that there is a lot of tension worldwide, which makes him worried about the future. He also revealed that they have been working on a new Behemoth album, but it is never sure whether they will get to support it with a massive tour. Nergal stated that he is hopeless as he cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is clear that Nergal is upset about not being able to pursue his music career as he wishes.
Nergal’s thoughts on the current state of the world:
“On the one hand, I’m working on the 12th Behemoth album. It will probably be released no matter what next year, and I would love to back it up with a massive touring campaign, but if it happens, who f*cking knows?
I released the ‘Me And That Man’ album that I’m so proud of, and the reception was great, but I cannot go and tour the f*cking UK or wherever I want in the way that I want. I’m tired. I’m exhausted, and I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.“
