Billie Joe Armstrong, the co-founder and frontman of the punk rock band Green Day, has made a playlist of all the protest songs of the band on the eve of the 2020 presidential election while urging his fans to vote for Joe Biden.
As you know, Armstrong is one of the biggest anti-Trump musicians in the rock and metal communities. Reacting against Donald Trump’s polity in several fields, including COVID-19, Billie Joe Armstrong has been leading his followers to vote for the Democratic Party in the upcoming election for some time now.
Most recently, he has employed some of the most popular Green Day songs, which have quite strong protest messages, into his battle against Trump, as well. Armstrong created a playlist on Spotify, titled ‘Green Day: Oakland Coffee,’ to get his fans pissed at Donald Trump and vote for Joe Biden.
While sharing the playlist on Instagram Stories, which includes some of the most ferocious songs of the band such as ‘Carpe Diem,’ ‘American Idiot,’ ‘Back in the USA,’ and ‘Platypus (I Hate You),’ Billie Joe said no to Trump, KKK, and the fascist USA.
Here’s what Billie Joe Armstrong said in his recent story:
“Just added! All Green Day protestish tunes. Get pissed and vote!! No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA. Vote blue 2020.”
