Billie Joe Armstrong, who is the frontman of Green Day, unveiled some rare-known truths about the ‘No Fun Monday’ songs by sharing a new post on his official Instagram account.
Green Day and Billie wanted to help the people across all around the world who are suffering from the coronavirus outbreak and forced to follow self-quarantine rules. Because of that, they started a ‘No Fun Monday’ session that they are covering songs every Monday.
Right now, they covered eleven songs including Johnny Thunders’s You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory, Kim Wilde’s Kids In America, and Shaun Cassidy’s That’s Rock ‘N’ Roll songs.
In the caption of the post, Billie revealed some details about this project and stated that some of the songs were not played by the original members of the band. Chris Dugan, Bill Schnieder, and Jason White took some parts in the songs.
Here is what Billie Joe Armstrong said:
“A few acknowledgments for no fun Monday’s. Chris Dugan mixed all the songs and played drums on ‘Not That Way Anymore,’ ‘Gimme Some Truth, ‘Kids In America…’
Bill Schnieder played bass on ‘Kids In America.’ Jason White played guitar on ‘Kids In America..’ Greg Schneider mad all the videos! All my friends are talented!”
