Green Day’s iconic frontman Billie Joe Armstong shared a statement refusing the ongoing rumors about the band’s project of making a part two of a previous Green Day records, however, he revealed that he would have chosen ‘Insomniac‘ for such a project.
The iconic American rock band Green Day released their fourth studio album, ‘Insomniac,’ on October 10, 1995. ‘Insomniac’ featured a heavier and more punk sound than the band’s previous album ‘Dookie,’ yet, it still managed to receive the appreciation of the Green Day fans.
Recently on Instagram, the co-founder and lead singer of Green Day, Billie Joe Armstrong shared a statement responding to the rumors suggesting that they had been working on part two of a past Green Day album.
In his short statement that he posted via Instagram stories, Armstrong stated that they had definitely no intention of making a part two of a previous Green Day album. However, Billie also revealed that if they did such a thing, they would choose the 1995 album ‘Insomniac‘ to work on.

“We would never make a ‘part 2’ of any past Green Day album.. but if we did, it would be Insomniac...”
