Black Sabbath bass guitarist Geezer Butler took his official Twitter account to slam the famous sports brand, Nike, and shared a campaign that created to stop the company from slaughtering kangaroos.
In the tweet, Geezer wrote that Nike is making their football boots from kangaroos, and everybody should be their voice by signing in the petition he shared. Also, he used the slogan of Nike and reverted it to ‘Just Don’t Do It.’
Here is what Geezer Butler said:
“If you don’t want your football boots made from kangaroos, sign this petition. I deleted the initial post since I said cleats. Cheers!”
A fan user named Karma replied:
“Geezer, you’re one of 3 reasons I play bass. You’re also one of the greatest lyricists in rock history.
I’m sitting here watching the US in utter chaos thinking how prophetic a lot of your lyrics were. Thank you for a lifetime of greatness and for music to get us through this.”
