Black Sabbath icon Tony Iommi made everybody shred into tears with an emotional letter he wrote for his bandmate and long-time friend, Ronnie James Dio, and shared his feelings about his death after ten years.

In 2009, Ronnie James Dio canceled all of his tours due to the devastating disease that he has, stomach cancer. After one year, he couldn’t fight it anymore and passed away from this world.

Tony shared a picture of them while they were rocking the stage, and paid his tribute to Ronnie by writing a letter in the caption of the post. Tony stated that he can’t believe its the 10th death anniversary of him and revealed his longing for the legend.

Here is what Tony Iommi wrote:

“Remembering our dear friend Ronnie. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since Ronnie passed away.

He is so greatly missed but never forgotten and his music will live on in our hearts forever.”

A fan named Con added this comment:

“He truly was a legend!  I cannot believe it’s already 10 years! 😱 Still love all his work he done! Forever Dio!”

Another fan named Arian said:

“One of the 3 musicians I literally burst into tears when found out they have passed away. 😔”
