Blink 182 frontman Mark Hoppus revealed the latest details about his health status during a recent live stream event on Twitch.
As you might recall, Mark announced that he has diagnosed with cancer last month and revealed that he has been taking chemotherapy for the last three months in order to overcome this disease.
According to Mark, he will undergo a PET scan to confirm if he gets through this disease or not and said that even though he becomes cancer-free, he will get three more chemotherapy sessions just to make sure the cancer is gone.
Furthermore, Mark encouraged his followers by saying that he will beat cancer for sure, he also revealed his experience of getting chemotherapy. As Mark said, he felt like a zombie when he got his first chemotherapy session.
Mark Hoppus said:
“Ideally, I go in tomorrow and they say, ‘Congratulations! Your chemotherapy has worked and you are all done and you’ll never have to think about this cancer again for the rest of your life.’
Even if the cancer’s totally gone from my whole body, they give me three more rounds of chemo just to make sure… The first chemo, I felt like I was a zombie that fell onto an electric fence and was just being shocked…
The second round of chemo, I just felt very weak and tired. Really just like the worst flu ever. The third round of chemo, I started retching. Nauseous and that whole thing. We’re beating this cancer. It’s just a matter of time.”
