Blink 182 bass guitarist Mark Hoppus revealed the current state of his health by sharing a new post on his official Twitter account.
Back in June, Hoppus publicly announced that he has cancer, and he has been taking chemotherapy for the past three months. Since then, the community was waiting to hear good news from Hoppus.
Yesterday, Hoppus finally revealed his current health status as well as sharing a picture of his tumor. Hoppus said that he will take a test, which will determine if he will overcome this devastating disease.
While Hoppus was saying that he is so grateful for the positive messages he got from the community, he also mentioned that he is determined to win his fight against cancer and come back to his normal life once again.
Additionally, the bass guitarist pointed out that if the chemotherapy doesn’t work they will try out bone marrow transplants to overpower cancer, which will be decided after the test results.
Mark Hoppus said:
“Apologies if I’m oversharing but it’s so surreal to think that this week I’ll take a test that may very well determine if I live or die. Thanks to everyone for the positive thoughts and encouragement.
I read all your replies and it means the world to me. Thank you. I’m going to beat this through chemotherapy or through bone marrow transplants, but either way I’m determined to kick cancer’s ass directly in the nuts. Love to you all. Let’s hecking go.”
