Queen’s iconic guitarist Brian May shared the video of his performance with Kerry Ellis for his new song addressed people who managed to survive 2020 and talked about his wishes for the new year.
As you might recall, not so long ago, Brian May released a song titled ‘One Beautiful Christmas Day,’ which was a collaboration with English actress and singer Kerry Ellis. Ellis is widely known for her work in musical theatre and subsequent crossover into music.
Following her first professional stage appearance in 1998, Kerry went on to make her West End debut in the 2001 revival of ‘My Fair Lady’ as Martine McCutcheon’s understudy in the role of Eliza Doolittle. After meeting Brian May in 2002, she landed the role of Meat in the original London cast of ‘We Will Rock You‘ and has subsequently played lead roles in West End musicals ‘Les Misérables,’ ‘Wicked,’ and ‘Cats.’
Recently, Brian May invited his dear friend Kelly for a special performance via IG tv on New Year’s Eve. Later on, May posted the video on his Instagram account and revealed his new song titled ‘It’s Gonna Be All Right‘ which was dedicated to the new year.
In the video, Brian mentioned both he and Kerry didn’t rehearse the song before the live stream and stated that they wanted to be performing it together with their fans. In the caption of his post, May admitted that they haven’t perfected the song yet, but he promised that they would release a ‘more comprehensible’ version of the song in the next few days.
Here is what Brian May wrote in the caption of his video:
“It’s Gonna Be All Right !!! Covid 2021 Mix!
With Kerry Ellis —- A very live and dangerous IG link version! Well, we tried! Technically not quite perfected! Ha ha! We’ll hopefully deliver a more comprehensible version in the next few days! Happy new year!! Bri”
