Brian Welch, the guitarist and founding member of the nu-metal band Korn, has unveiled that his favorite heavy band in 2020 is Alpha Wolf while explaining how he heard about them and how much he appreciates their music.

During the most recent interview with Kerrang!, Korn icon Brian Welch, also known by his stage name ‘Head,’ has talked about the best thing he heard this year as we enter 2021.

Welch went for the Australian metalcore band, Alpha Wolf, explaining that the drummer of his side band Love and Death, Isaiah Perez, introduced their music to him by saying their songs make him want to kill the whole world.

Furthermore, Welch stated that he doesn’t condone the killing of every human being in the whole world, but Alpha Wolf is crazy-heavy nuts. The Australian band, which was founded in 2013, released their debut album, ‘Mono,’ in July 2017 and peaked at number 29 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Here’s what Brian Welch said during the interview:

“I would have to choose Alpha Wolf. My Drummer from my band Love & Death was at my house – his name is Isaiah Perez – and he said I had to check out this band.

And he put it on his phone, and as he played it, he said, ‘This band makes me want to kill the whole world!‘ I don’t condone the killing of every human being in the whole world, but Alpha Wolf is crazy-heavy nuts!

So check ’em out, they’re from Australia, they’re unique. Heavy. As. Balls.”
