As you know, former Soundgarden and Audioslave singer Chris Cornell passed away from possible suicide at age 52 in 2017.
Two days ago, Chris Cornell’s statue was placed at the south entrance of the city’s Museum of Pop Culture.
Yesterday, the statue unveiled by Chris Cornell’s wife Vicki Cornell and his children Lillian Jean, Toni and Christopher at a special ceremony.
Vicki Cornell noted:
“This statue represents that light – a beautiful, powerful, incomparable presence in his hometown … worthy of someone a special as Chris. As Seattle’s son he paved the way for other artists and drew the eyes of the world to Seattle.
He was the voice of a generation and an artist that continues to draw us together forever. Along with his children, I am committed to continuing his legacy.”
