Soundgarden and Audioslave’s late frontman Chris Cornell’s daughter, Toni Cornell, recently posted a video on her mother’s Instagram account and shared a rare footage of Chris recording at Henson’s studio back in 2016.
As you know, the iconic Soundgarden frontman passed away three years ago at the age of 52 and left his heartbroken family, friends, and fans behind. He had been suffering depression for most of his life which eventually lead to his suicide. Chris was found dead in his hotel room after performing at a Soundgarden concert at the Fox Theatre on May 18, 2017.
His family and friends are still coping with his loss and try to make sure that his legacy is not forgotten. The Cornell family uses the hashtag #noonesingslikeyouanymore when posting a photo of the belated rockstar.
Recently, Chris’ wife Vicky posted a video of him recording ‘Nothing Compares To You‘ at Henson’s Studio back in 2016. The caption of the video confused Chris’ fans as it said ‘filming my dad‘ even though it was posted on Vicky’s account.
However, as the hashtag is often used by Toni, it was probably her paying tribute to her father through her mother’s Instagram account. She also posted a story on her own Instagram account with a ketchup bottle that wrote ‘Henson Recording Studios’ with the hashtag #noonesingslikeyouanymore just an hour before she posted the video from her mother’s account.
It is obvious that Toni has been missing her dad and posting photos or videos that remind her of the good times she spent with her dad may be her way of archiving her memories so that they can always be there whenever she misses him.
Here’s what Vicky/Toni wrote in the caption of her Instagram post:
“Filming my dad recording ‘Nothing Compares to You’ at Henson’s studio 2016- Christopher Cornell #noonesingslikeyouanymore”
