Soundgarden and Audioslave’s late frontman Chris Cornell‘s wife and also co-founder of Chris Cornell Foundation, Vicky Cornell, has posted a photo on her verified Instagram page to share the latest achievement of her deceased husband even though he is not alive.

As you may already remember, the legendary singer of Soundgarden Chris Cornell has passed away back in 2017. According to the official announcement, the reason for his death was suicide by hanging himself. It was also announced that Chris had been suffering from depression for a while just before his death at the age of 52.

According to the recent post of Chris Cornell’s lovely widow Vicky, it seems that Chris does not need to be alive to achieve new successes in the music industry. Cornell’s unreleased cover of Guns N’ Roses’ classic 1989 song ‘Patience’ made it to number one on rock radio. Vicky also stated that fans are able to buy the special limited edition white 7-inch vinyl for a short time.

After sharing the cover photo of the album, Vicky’s post got almost 2K likes in a short time. One of the users who liked it was The Pretty Reckless singer and Gossip Girl star, Taylor Momsen.

Here is what Vicky wrote in her latest post:

“Thanks to all your love and support, we made it to #1 on rock radio!
In response to fan demand, and in honor of Record Store Day, Chris’s cover of ‘Patience’ is now available in a very special limited edition white 7-inch vinyl.

It’s also been paired with his cover of Prince’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ (Live on SiriusXM) on the B-side. Go here to find your nearest participating indie record store. Loudlove x VC.”
