Soundgarden’s late singer Chris Cornell widow Vicky Cornell took her official Instagram account to share a new post and sent a message for the U.S citizens during Memorial Day.
While Vicky was mourning and honoring the men and women who paid the ultimate price for the United States of America, she also sent an open letter to the citizens during this special day.
Vicky mentioned that we should do and imagine better to honor the people who died for the freedom and safety of the United States and showed why should be remembering Memorial Day every year.
Furthermore, Vicky pointed out that we could make them proud only by making things better in the United States, and in this way, we could make sure they did not die in vain.
Here is the message that Vicky Cornell shared:
“My fellow Americans: We can imagine better. We can do better. We must do better. Today, we remember and honor those who fought and died for our country. They died for our rights, our freedoms, and our safety.
They died fighting so we could live in a democracy as great and as fragile as ours, the one our founding fathers and mothers imagined. Let us make sure they did not die in vain. Thank you, Chris Prat, for sharing these beautiful photos and reminding us all about the true meaning of today. “
