Chris Cornell‘s wife, Vicky Cornell has celebrated her daughter’s birthday by posting an adorable video of Chris holding their daughter Toni, 16 years ago. The exclusive video of father and daughter posted on Instagram made Chris fans highly emotional.
As you might already know, the singer and songwriter Chris Cornell was married to Susan Silver and they had a daughter together, named Lillian Jean Cornell. However, a couple of years after her birth, the married couple had decided to get a divorce that soon turned to be problematic with four years of lawsuits.
Afterward, Chris had married Vicky Karayiannis and had two children, their daughter Toni and their son Christopher Nicholas. In her recent post, Vicky shared a video displaying the affection Chris has for little Toni 16 years ago, on the day of her birth. The video warmed the hearts of fans who consoled themselves by celebrating Toni’s birthday in the comment section.

According to the statements made by Vicky, the family of the late frontman of Soundgarden and Audioslave was a healthy and loving environment prior to his death. Opening up to PEOPLE, the 42-year-old widow had furthermore stated that ‘it was not like him’ to commit suicide.
As you may remember, Chris had committed suicide following a Soundgarden performance in 2017. The reason behind his death preserving its mystery, Cornell fans have long been troubled by the unanswered questions regarding the tragic event that took place three years ago.
