The phenomenal British rock band, Coldplay has hugely thanked their fans who voted for them to win the best rock band award at this year’s MTV EMAs although they’ve been out of the scene throughout the whole year.
The official Twitter account of the London-based band has most recently announced their big success at the 2020 MTV EMA with a precious message to all fans who stand with the band all these years, even to vote for them in a period they are quite inactive.
On behalf of each member of Coldplay, an address was released stating the band’s thanks to every single one of their fans who voted. It was said that the band’s fans had proven themselves the greatest once again.
As you may know, Coldplay has released their latest and eighth studio album, ‘Everyday Life,’ on November 22, 2019, by Parlophone in the United Kingdom and Atlantic Records in the United States. It is a double album with the first half titled ‘Sunrise’ and the other, ‘Sunset.’
The release coincided with ‘Coldplay: Everyday Life – Live in Jordan,’ in which performances of each half of the album was live-streamed from Amman, Jordan, at sunrise and sunset, respectively. Speculation about the album’s existence persisted since their previous record, ‘A Head Full of Dreams,’ as rumors circulated that Coldplay would disband.
Here’s what was said in the recent tweet of Coldplay:
“Thanks to every single one of you who voted here. Once again, you’ve proven yourselves the greatest.
Thank you for letting us ride on your wave. Love c, g, w, j & p. MTV EMA.”
