Slipknot and Stone Sour singer Corey Taylor shared a video message on Astronomicon’s Facebook account and announced that he got caught by the coronavirus.
Corey released his debut solo album last year as he couldn’t tour with the band during the coronavirus pandemic, named ‘CMFT,’ and he wanted to promote the album by going for a solo tour this year.
The iconic singer put maximum effort to prevent any COVID-19 cases in his shows with restrictions such as cutting the number of audiences, but it seems like these precautions didn’t work on him.
While Corey was continuing his ‘CMFTour,’ he announced that he is tested positive for novel coronavirus, which prevents him to continue his shows in a short period. As Corey said, he is feeling really sick at the moment and he is devastated about letting his followers down who were waiting to see him.
Additionally, Corey mentioned that he is fully vaccinated so he is going to be fine, but he doesn’t want to spread the virus to anyone, and that’s why he is not going to take any risks to get back until he fully recovers.
Corey Taylor announced that he is tested positive for COVID-19 via Astronomicon:
“I wish I had better news. I woke up today and tested positive, and I’m very, very sick. So I’m not gonna be able to make it this weekend. And I am absolutely devastated.
I am so sorry. I hope everyone has a good time, and I promise you I will absolutely try to get back there as soon as I can. I should be OK – it’s the flu.
I’m vaccinated, so I’m not worried. But I certainly wouldn’t want to spread it to anyone else. So, everybody, be safe out there. And thank you so much. And I will see you again, I promise.”
After this announcement, Astronomicon also revealed that the tickets will be refunded as soon as possible and stated that they have emailed to the ticketholders about the refund options.
