Slipknot singer Corey Taylor recently gave an interview to Eddie Trunk, during which he talked about the upcoming Slipknot record.

Earlier this year, Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan revealed that the band is working on releasing their seventh studio album in 2021, named ‘Look Outside Your Window.’ Also, the band will be parting ways with their long-time record company for this album, Roadrunner Records.

In the conversation, Corey shared that ‘Look Outside Your Window’ is about %80 done, and they are finishing the songs right now. Additionally, the frontman mentioned that he only has a couple of songs to sing within the upcoming days.

Besides that, he also thrilled the fans by saying that they might release new material in the next month or two. However, this will not be a single as Taylor said it will be more of a teaser of what people should expect from the upcoming album. He added that it will aim to remind the people why they like to listen to Slipknot.

Corey Taylor on the upcoming record via Eddie Trunk:

“Actually, it is pretty much done. I’d say it’s about %80. We are finishing up some music, I have got a couple of songs to sing. However, don’t be surprised if in the next month or so you hear something new.

This would be a release before we actually get to the single. This is a little teaser to get people a taste. Kind of what we did with ‘Out Of Live,’ but we didn’t put ‘Out Of Live’ in the album. This will actually be in the album, and I’m pretty stoked. It’s gonna remind people why they loved Slipknot.”

In the caption of his post, Eddie Trunk showed how happy he was to have Corey as a guest, and many fans commented by saying that it was a very informative and fun conversation. Others expressed their excitement over the upcoming Slipknot record.
