The official Instagram page of Knotfest L.A. shared a video in which Slipknot lead singer Corey Taylor talks about their upcoming show at the festival. After being asked about the band’s plans for their biggest headlining concert, Taylor revealed that they have cool surprises for their fans.
For those of you who may not know, Knotfest is a music festival first organized in 2012 by Slipknot. Over the years, the event has been held both as a touring and destination festival in numerous countries, such as the United States, Japan, Mexico, and France.
In addition to the originators, the festival has featured many successful performers, including Deftones, Marilyn Manson, Lamb of God, and many more. For this year’s event, which will take place at the Banc of California Stadium, Slipknot will perform its biggest headlining concert to this date on November 5.
The event will also include other performers such as Bring Me To The Horizon, Killswitch Engage, Fever 333, Code Orange, Taylor’s son’s band Vended, and his wife’s dancing group Cherry Bombs.
Since it’s one of the greatest moments in their entire career, Corey Taylor was recently interviewed about the upcoming festival. The frontman was asked about their plans to fulfill their audience’s increased expectations at the stadium show, and he didn’t refrain from sharing his excitement about their show.
Apparently, Slipknot has worked really hard on their set to perfect it. Despite saying they have pretty cool surprises for their fans at the Knotfest L.A., the vocalist didn’t reveal any further details. He also didn’t forget to praise the lineup, including many respectable artists such as his wife Alicia Taylor and his son Griffin Taylor.
When asked what their fans should expect of them, Taylor said:
“The cool thing is that we really worked on a pretty fucking killer set to put together, which we kind of pieced together over some rehearsals, just kind of trial and error, putting the show together and really got it locked tight. But, having said that, we’ve got some cool surprises ready for Knotfest L.A.
Just for the fact that our career’s kind of been leading towards this now. And the fact that we have such a stacked lineup, not just Bring Me To The Horizon but, obviously, Killswitch, Fever333, Code Orange, my son’s band Vended, my wife’s dance group is gonna be doing an incredible show right before Bring Me plays.”
“We’re all really, really stoked that we’re gonna be able to do something really special for L.A., and, honestly, our first real stadium show. So that’s what I’m most stoked about, not just our show, but just the fact that we’re putting something on as a testimony to the music we love, the fans that we love to play for, and just hopefully the start of something massive in the future.”
It appears that Corey Taylor is incredibly excited for their upcoming show since they are going to get the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of fans. All of the band members must also feel enthusiastic about the festival, especially after the outbreak of COVID-19, which prevented the organization of live events and public gatherings.
