Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor joined an interview for famous host Eddie Trunk‘s radio show and talked about the future plans regarding Stone Sour.
Earlier in the interview, Corey Taylor revealed the detail of his upcoming solo album and its recording process. Despite the precautions against COVID-19, Corey achieved to record 25 songs within three weeks.
Furthermore, the talented musician talked about the future of his band Stone Sour. The band released their sixth and last album ‘Hydrograd‘ earlier in 2017. Since then, the fans have been curious about the band’s upcoming works. According to Corey’s statements, it might take a little bit longer:
“Yeah, Stone Sour is kind of on the backburner right now. We all kind of felt that we did exactly what we wanted to do on ‘Hydrograd’ and we’re just giving it a minute.
I talked to the guys in the band about the solo thing and what I wanted to do, and they were all totally on board with it. Everybody else has kind of got things going on, so they’re all cool.
Josh is actually working on a solo thing of his own, which is great. So, yeah, I think Stone Sour is kind of on hiatus right now, which is fine. If someday we wanna get back together and do some stuff, it’ll be bigger than it was.
But for right now, we’re all kind of focused on kind-of doing our own thing. But you never say never in this business.”
