After releasing their 6th studio album in 2019, Slipknot fans are in for a treat with a new album. Recently, Corey Taylor spoke about the upcoming album to Fox News and stated that the fans will love it even more than ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ and added that it will be an extension of their 2004 album ‘Vol.3.’

Since their formation in 1995, Slipknot released six studio albums that contributed to their success. Their fans love their aggressive style of music as well as their stylistic choice by wearing masks on stage. The concerts are always crowded, and people seem to be having the time of their lives.

The band released their latest album, ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ in 2019, and numerous critics regarded the album as Slipknot’s best work. The single ‘Unsainted’ from the album reached the top 10 on Billboard mainstream rock chart. The album, in general also took its place in US Billboard 200 and UK Albums Chart.

According to Corey Taylor’s recent interview, the upcoming album will be loved more than ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ by their fans. Taylor stated that they experimented with ‘cool textures,’ and he thinks people will freak out over them. Moreover, he revealed that it’s an extension of their 2004 album ‘Vol.3.’

Here is what he said about the upcoming album:

“This album is really, really good. I feel like we’ve kind of hit a groove on the last album, ‘We Are Not Your Kind.’ We were really able to experiment with some cool textures and musical vibes that we hadn’t played in a long time. For me, I feel like this was an extension of what we were trying to do with ‘Vol. 3.’ There’s a lot of great musical vibes that people are gonna really freak out on, but there’s still so much great heavy stuff. People are really gonna dig it. I actually like this album more than ‘We Are Not Your Kind.’ I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

‘Vol. 3’ was released as the band’s third studio album and was also a successful Slipknot album. One of the songs in the album, ‘Before I Forget’ received a Grammy Award for best metal performance. The music video ‘Duality’ was chosen as the best music video in Roadrunner history.
