According to The Blast, Kurt Cobain’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic are going in a legal battle against American fashion designer and the head designer for his own fashion label, Marc Jacobs.
As you can see above, Mark Jacobs’ latest t-shirt and sock designs are looking alike Nirvana’s trademarked logo.
Nirvana L.L.C owners, Courtney Love, Frances Bean Cobain, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic revealed that, the damages by Jacobs total in excess of $1 million.
Here is what Jacobs said about the legal battle:
“The collection was considered groundbreaking in the fashion world, because it brought together high fashion and streetwear on the runway in a way that had never been done before. The debut of the SS93 Grunge Collection is now considered to be one of the most influential runway fashion shows of the 1990s.
In 1994, I met Courtney Love and Frances Bean Cobain (then two years old), the daughter of Ms. Love and the then-late Mr. Cobain, beginning a personal and professional relationship with both women that endures to this day.”
