Kurt Cobain’s widow and retired successful musician, Courtney Love, recently answered some of her fans’ questions through her Instagram account, one of which was related to the ‘good boyfriends’ she had after Kurt Cobain’s passing.
Courtney Love is considered to be one of the most prominent figures of the ’90s alternative and grunge scenes and she’s best known for her work as the frontwoman of the alternative rock band Hole. Aside from her career as a musician, Love is also famous for her love affair with Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
The couple first met in 1990 and got married in Waikiki Beach, Hawai, on February 24, 1992. Following Kurt Cobain’s passing in April 1994, Courtney Love started touring again with Hole. However, her husband’s death had really broken her heart, and her actions while touring, such as her mental breakdowns, or physical assaults towards people in the audience or fellow musicians under the influence of drugs led to a series of legal troubles.
After Hole’s world tour concluded in 1996, Courtney Love went back to her acting career and The People vs. Larry Flynt, which was released in 1996, was one of her first movies after a long break. After the release of the movie, tabloids started spreading rumors that she was dating her co-star Edward Norton. While he insisted that they weren’t involved romantically, Love confirmed that they had a brief and discreet relationship.
Recently, a fan asked Courtney Love whether she dated any good guys following Kurt Cobain’s passing, to which Love responded by saying ‘a few actually.’ She added a photo of Norton and herself and gave him as an example. During an old interview, Love had said that Norton is an amazing guy and that he really helped her build a relationship with her daughter Frances Bean Cobain, and had called him a ‘force of good.’
Here’s what a fan asked:
“After Kurt, have you had GOOD boyfriends?”
To which Courtney replied:
“A few actually. Here’s one, Edward Norton.”
