The lyricist and founding member of Cradle of Filth, Dani Filth, posted a new photo on his verified Instagram account today and commented on Ed Sheeran’s latest interview about making a heavy-metal album.
You might read the recently made interview of Ed Sheeran that Halifax, England-based musician made a recent statement about changing a genre in the near future and admitted that he’s into death metal since he was a little kid and he listened to Cradle of Filth and Slipknot while admitting that he’s not saying he could ever step into the heavy metal scene.
Today, Dani shared the screenshot of the interview with Ed and commented on his complimentary words about Cradle of Filth. Right after sharing the photo, many celebrities in the music scene liked the post and commented under it including Slayer and Exodus legend Gary Holt and Cradle of Filth guitarist Richard Shaw.
Here is what Dani wrote in the caption:
“I’ll believe it when I see it. Fellow Suffolk lad could come good in the end. ‘Dracula’s Castle On The Hill’ anyone?”
Richard Shaw commented saying:
“I’d be well up for collaborating. Love the idea of ‘Dracula’s Castle on the Hill’. Maybe we could do ‘The Aaaaaaaah Team‘ and ‘Screaming Out Loud‘ also.
Here come the ‘Cradle of Filth aren’t death metal’ comments shortly followed by arguments of what genre we actually are.”
