Cradle of Filth lead vocalist Dani Filth spoke to Kerrang! Radio’s ‘Breakfast Show’ and revealed that he keeps in touch with famous musician Ed Sheeran for an upcoming collaboration.

As you may recall, Cradle of Filth previously shared the details about their long-awaited thirteenth studio album entitled ‘Existence Is Futile.’ The upcoming album will be released on October 22, 2021, and it will be the first album featuring Anabelle Iratni as the new keyboardist.

Apart from a new album, Dani Filth has also been working on an upcoming collaboration with Ed Sheeran. When Filth learned that Sheeran has been a heavy metal fan since his childhood and would considering releasing a metal album, the frontman expressed his happiness and stressed Sheeran has found the right path.

During his recent interview, Dani Filth confirmed that he contacted Sheeran to discuss working on a new project. He stated that Sheeran invited him to his place. During his visit, Filth was both surprised and excited to find out that Sheeran is a huge metal fan, has a good personality, and that ‘he’d do anything.’

Filth said in his interview that:

“I’ve actually been emailing with him… He actually touched base with me. I’ve been invited up to his place. Well, he said he could come down to mine, but I pointed out to him that I don’t own my own bar or village, and it’d be better if I went there.

He said he’d do anything. Quite literally. He said he’s a massive fan. He seems like a genuinely very nice guy, actually.”

There is no doubt that both Ed Sheeran and Cradle of Filth fans got excited after Dani Filth confirmed an upcoming collaboration with the famous pop musician, and the outcome is definitely intriguing.
