Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl spoke in an interview with Sammy Hagar and explained why he prefer analog gear to digital.

He said:

“I love the analog because Taylor does too. You know, the great thing about analog, I have no problem recording either way, it doesn’t matter, but I do like the restrictions that analog poses on any band.”

Taylor added:

“Keeps you honest.”

Hagar said:

“The serious one, the one that is going to break this whole thing up – Foo Fighters or Nirvana?”

Hawkins:

“Nirvana. I wasn’t there, you know?”

Grohl:

“[Laughs] I’m pleading the fifth on that one. I’m going to plead the fifth.”
