Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine has recently posted a tweet tagging Paul Stanley and stated that he is going to be there for him through his struggle with Covid-19 because Stanley had been there for him when he had cancer.
Recently, KISS fans had heard a rumour that Paul Stanley had a heart attack and was in the Intensive Care Unit. This was denied by Stanley who later revealed that he tested positive for Covid.
KISS’ The End of the Road World Tour had begun again in August 2021 after it had to be rescheduled because of the pandemic restrictions for two years. With Stanley testing positive for the disease, the whole band and crew got tested as well. Fortunately, no one else turned out to be positive, but in any case, the band decided to wait for Stanley to get better before they continue their tour.
There has been a lot of support and kind words for Stanley, especially from his fans. However, a tweet from Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine made everyone emotional. As you may recall, Mustaine was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2019 and had to go through a rough treatment time with which Stanley was apparently very supportive. Mustaine now stated that it is now his turn to return the support.
Mustaine gave his support to Stanley stating:
“Paul, I remember you said you’d be in my corner when I had cancer; now it’s my turn to be in your corner. Get well soon, Dave Mustaine”
This tweet made fans emotional and showed them the gentleman Mustaine is. Some people were even happy to see their two favourite frontmen being there for each other. As always, there were people who looked at the tweet negatively stating that Mustaine is not being sincere if he is tweeting about it.
