Rock and roll photographer Ross Halfin shared Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine’s photo in which he is sitting on a toilet with the book from Metallica’s ‘Black Album Remastered’ on Instagram. This photo confused many fans who started questioning Mustaine’s message to Metallica with this photo.
As you probably know, Metallica will release ‘Black Album Remastered’ on September 10, 2021, to celebrate the album’s 30th anniversary. The deluxe box set includes remastered songs, guitar picks, a lyric folder, and a 120-page hardcover book.
Recently, Dave Mustaine was photographed on the toilet while reading the hardcover book, consisting of Metallica never-seen pictures and stories. The photo was shared by famous photographer Ross Halfin, and both Metallica and Megadeth fans got confused.
Some fans reflected their ideas about the photo in the comments section, saying that Mustaine is making fun of Metallica with this photo. However, others claimed that Mustaine tries to return to Metallica by praising ‘Black Album Remastered’ in his own way. Both sides are wondering about Metallica members’ response to Dave’s controversial photo.
Halfin’s caption read:
“Diamond Dave Mustaine with some Sunday morning reading. Photographed at Dave’s studio – Franklin Tennessee.”
Here’s what a fan wrote:
“Dave wishing to be in Metallica again, as always.”
A fan added:
“Relax guys. Dave ran out of toilet paper, and he thought he should use the next best thing. Nothing to worry about.”
Another fan responded:
“It’s funny because he reflects how much he still cares about Metallica.“
