The Byrds icon and the founder of both ‘Byrds and Crosby’ and ‘Stills & Nash,’ David Crosby, took to his official Twitter account to share his opinion about his former bandmate, Neil Young.
In the post, Crosby mentioned that some of the fans have been asking if he is listening to recent songs of Young and if he liked any of them. Afterward, Crosby admitted that he only listened to Slowpoke, which was released in 1999.
Slowpoke is one of the songs that featured in the Looking Forward album of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Also, this album peaked at the 26th on the charts via Billboard 200, and it was the latest album of these musicians.
Furthermore, Crosby praised the talent of Young and showed his respect to another legend. He said that Slowpoke has one of the best lyrics in the world and mentioned how a great song it is.
Here is what David Crosby said:
“Somebody asked me a while ago if I liked any more recent Neil songs… Well, it’s not too recent but I heard Slowpoke today and I think it’s one of his best sets of words and a great song.”
