The founding member and co-lead vocalist of Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Byrds, David Crosby, recently replied to a fan’s question considering the musicians that he considers to be nice and funny to which he responded by dropping the names of iconic rockstars.

David Crosby is without a doubt one of the rockstars who enjoy using their social media accounts the most. However, in comparison to other musicians, Crosby often prefers to use his Twitter account to interact with his fans, answer their questions, and tell unknown stories about the rock world and musicians.

Recently, a fan asked him about the musicians that he thinks are the nicest and funniest. To this, Crosby responded by saying that he has really enjoyed spending time with Grammy Award-winning rockstar Michael McDonald. He went on to add that David Gilmour is a very nice person too. As if he couldn’t choose, Crosby then mentioned the rock and country musician Bonnie Raitt.

As you may recall, back in 2009 during an interview with the Rolling Stone, Crosby had said that Bonnie is his favorite singer of all time, thus, it shouldn’t be surprising that she made it to his list. Finally, Crosby said that the list could go on as a ‘surprisingly large percentage of musicians that are good people.’

Here’s what the fan asked David Crosby:

“David who was the nicest musician you’ve ever met? Also, who was the funniest?”

To which David Crosby responded:

“There is a number… Michael McDonald leaps to mind. So does David Gilmour, Bonnie has always been good to me… There is a surprisingly large percentage of musicians that are good people.”
