The vocalist of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, David Crosby posted a tweet revealing he was now aware of what a legendary musician Eddie Van Halen was following his unfortunate statements undermining the Van Halen icon soon after his death.

As you may recall, Van Halen’s co-founder and iconic guitarist Eddie Van Halen sadly passed away on October 6, 2020, at the age of 65 after a long battle with throat cancer.

While the rock music community was mourning after the loss of the Van Halen legend, the 79-year-old rock musician David Crosby made an unfortunate statement about Eddie on Twitter which received the harsh reaction of Van Halen fans on social media.

In his previous tweet, Crosby claimed that Eddie wasn’t a guitarist who changed the world of guitar like Jimi Hendrix and also stated he did not care about him much. After he faced a backlash from the Van Halen fans, David made another statement asserting that he did not remember Eddie had just passed away while writing those comments about his music.

Recently on Twitter, David Crosby posted another tweet about Eddie Van Halen stating he was informed by the youngsters in his family that he was ‘an old idiot.’ Crosby also mentioned that he realized Eddie was among the ‘next guitarist to have ever lived.’

Here’s what David Crosby wrote in his latest tweet:

“You will be happy to know that I am reliably informed by the younger members of my family that I am an old idiot and Van Halen was one of the next guitarists to have ever lived.”
